Oxfordshire has relatively low levels of deprivation: it is the 10th least deprived of 151 upper-tier local authorities in England (up from 11th in 2015). That puts the county well within the top 10% least deprived.
The Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) is the official measure of relative deprivation in England, produced by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. It is based on 39 separate indicators, organised across seven distinct domains of deprivation which are combined and weighted to calculate the Index.
